Ketazone (international name Kebuzone) is a medicinal product produced by Lechiva JSC. and Spofa Prague in the Czech Republic. It belongs to the group of drugs that inhibit the formation of urinary stones and remove them in the urine. Ketazone is available in several dosage forms: solution for injection (250 mg, 20%) and dragees (250 mg).

The active ingredient of the drug is kebuzone. Ketazone is used to treat gout in all stages and forms. However, it has several contraindications that should be considered before starting treatment. Ketazone is not recommended during simultaneous therapy with coumarin anticoagulants, leukopenia and acute or in the acute stage of gastric and duodenal ulcers.

Relative contraindications are heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, cachexia, old age, liver and kidney diseases, pregnancy. With long-term use of Ketazone, it is recommended to limit the intake of sodium chloride and drink mineral waters containing lithium to prevent renal colic as a result of a powerful uricosuric effect.

The interaction of Ketazone with acetylsalicylic acid taken simultaneously may weaken the effect of the drug. An overdose of Ketazone can lead to undesirable consequences, so you must follow the dosage specified in the instructions for the drug.
