Ketoprofen-Vramed

Ketoprofen-Vramed is a drug from the group of anti-inflammatory drugs derived from propionic acid. It is produced by the Bulgarian company Vramed AD and contains ketoprofen as an active substance. This drug is widely used in medicine to treat various diseases associated with inflammation and pain.

Ketoprofen-Vramed is used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, nonspecific spondyloarthritis, gouty arthritis, pseudogout, osteoarthritis, extra-articular rheumatism and other diseases accompanied by pain and inflammation. It is also used for the treatment of pain, including postoperative and post-traumatic pain, pain due to bone metastases, algomenorrhea and uncomplicated injuries.

The drug is available in the form of a gel for external use with a concentration of 2.5%. The gel can be used to treat sprains, ruptures of tendons and ligaments, muscle bruises and swelling. It is not recommended for use on dermatoses, eczema, infected abrasions and wounds.

Ketoprofen-Vramed has a number of contraindications, including hypersensitivity to the drug, renal and liver failure, gastric and duodenal ulcers in the acute phase, aspirin-induced asthma, pregnancy and childhood. When using suppositories, the drug is not recommended for use for proctitis and proctorragia, and when using the gel, for weeping wounds.

Ketoprofen-Vramed may cause side effects such as headache, dizziness, weakness, visual disturbances, dyspeptic symptoms, allergic reactions and others. The drug may also interact with other medications, enhancing or weakening their effect.
