The drug should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to its components, in pregnancy and lactation, as well as in children under 3 years of age when using capsules and up to 6 months when using syrup.

Ketotifen Stada can cause side effects from the nervous system and digestive organs, such as sedation, decreased reactivity, lethargy, feeling tired, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, anxiety, sleep disturbance, nervousness, dry mouth, increased appetite, nausea , vomiting, gastralgia and constipation. Allergic skin reactions and weight gain may also occur.

When using Ketotifen Stad, the possibility of interaction with other drugs, such as sleeping pills, ethanol and other antihistamines, should be taken into account. When used simultaneously with oral antidiabetic drugs, the likelihood of developing thrombocytopenia increases.

An overdose of Ketotifen Stad can cause drowsiness, confusion, disorientation, bradycardia and tachycardia, hypotension, shortness of breath, increased excitability and possibly even coma. In case of overdose, the stomach should be rinsed, activated charcoal and saline laxatives should be prescribed.

It should be remembered that Ketotifen Stada is not intended to relieve an attack of bronchial asthma and should be used with caution during work by vehicle drivers and people whose profession is associated with increased concentration. Treatment with the drug should be discontinued gradually if side effects occur or the patient's condition worsens.

In general, Ketotifen Stada is an effective and safe drug when prescribed correctly and in compliance with the dosage. However, like any medicine, it can cause side effects and interact with other medications, so you should consult your doctor before using it.
