**Argentophilus cells** are a special form of cells isolated from the blood and organs of some fish species (goldfin - Nerka, chum salmon - Oncorhynchus keta, etc.). They were discovered in 1890 by Swiss explorer Albert Bendazzi and named after their silver-influenced coloring. The color is expressed in a sharp bluish tint, which intensifies significantly with the concentration of the silver solution. These cells are useful for detecting tumors and infections in the human body.
