The undoubted advantages of glycerin also include its antiseptic and restorative functions, as well as hypoallergenicity and versatility: this substance is suitable for all age categories, for all skin types.

To prepare face masks with glycerin for wrinkles at home, you need to find a so-called solution for external use in the pharmacy - in other words, liquid glycerin. It is a thick, viscous, colorless and odorless substance that dissolves well in water. What other ingredients should I add to anti-wrinkle masks with glycerin? It depends on the individual needs of your skin. Experienced “Agafia’s grandmothers” love to use vegetable oils, herbal infusions and honey, but, as they say, there is no limit to imagination.

Masks with glycerin for dry skin

Mask with glycerin and vitamin E

1. pharmaceutical chamomile;
2. egg yolk;
3. vitamin A (aka retinol);
4. vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol acetate) in the form of oil solutions.

Vitamins are easy to buy in all pharmacies, you just need to pay attention to the composition: for retinol, the optimal concentration is 8.6% (available in the form of a concentrate in bottles of 10, 30 or 50 ml), for tocopherol - 50% (usually capsules of 100 , 200 or 400 mg). You can cheat and buy two-in-one capsules - Aevit vitamins, which already contain both necessary components.

1. Brew 1 sachet of chamomile with boiling water, leave for half an hour
2. In a glass container, mix 40 g of the resulting infusion with glycerin, vitamin A and vitamin E, taken in equal parts (about 10 ml each).
3. Add the yolk - preferably it should be at room temperature by then.
4. Mix, apply to the face, wait for 15 to 30 minutes, then carefully rinse with warm water.

It is better to use this recipe for a mask with glycerin against wrinkles over a course (at least 10 days), then you will definitely notice a smoothing effect.

Soothing mask

1. 5 ml glycerin;
2. 5 ml honey;
3. 10 ml cream 10% fat;
4. 20 grams of oatmeal.

1. Mix 5 ml of glycerin, the same amount of honey, 10 ml of 10% fat cream, 20 g of oatmeal in a deep glass bowl.
2. Leave the mixture alone for 5-10 minutes, then distribute it in an even layer on the skin of the face.
3. After 20 minutes, rinse with water and apply nourishing cream.

We use the face mask in courses of 8-10 days, taking a break of 3 days between courses. This product copes well with the problem of dry skin, fights irritation and peeling, promotes skin regeneration, and has a mild whitening effect.

Masks with glycerin for oily skin

Clay and birch buds

1. Liquid glycerin;
2. Camphor oil;
3. 1 tbsp birch buds.

1. Dilute ½ teaspoon of liquid glycerin in water, add a couple of drops of camphor oil.
2. Take 1 tablespoon of dry birch buds from a pharmacy or home, pour 100 g of boiling water, cook for several minutes, let the broth cool, strain using a strainer.
3. Add 2 tablespoons of cosmetic clay (ideally green), mix until smooth.
4. Pour in our glycerin-camphor mixture.
5. Apply the freshly prepared product for 15 minutes, wash with cool water.

This recipe not only prevents the appearance of wrinkles and makes existing ones less noticeable, but also perfectly cleanses the skin, regulates the functioning of the sebaceous glands, and eliminates acne.

Mask with gelatin

1. 5 grams of gelatin;
2. 15 ml glycerin;
3. 15 ml honey;
4. 1 aspirin tablet;
5. 100 ml water.

1. Take 5 g of edible gelatin, pour in 100 g of boiled water, do not touch for 20 minutes.
2. Grind a regular aspirin tablet into powder, mix the resulting powder with swollen gelatin and a teaspoon of honey.
3. Place in a water bath and, stirring continuously, wait for all the ingredients to dissolve.
4. Cool, apply to facial skin, after 20 minutes rinse with warm water.

The finished mixture can be stored in the refrigerator (but not more than a month) and the amount required for a single application can be heated each time.

It is recommended to use the product 1-2 times a week - then, in addition to hydration and nutrition, you will receive as a bonus getting rid of hated comedones, as well as a noticeable lifting effect.

Soothing mask with glycerin for all skin types

This simple but extremely effective recipe in the fight against wrinkles requires mixing glycerin in a 2:1 ratio with aloe juice, which you can prepare yourself from the leaves of the plant or buy ready-made. Apply the mixture generously to the face, leave for a quarter of an hour and wash (the water should be at room temperature).

An excellent composition that can be prepared, as they say, from improvised means.

1. Boil a medium-sized potato, peel and cool.
2. Add 20 ml of warmed milk and make puree.
3. Add 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon of vegetable (preferably olive) oil, the same volume of water, 1 teaspoon of glycerin.
4. You can “strengthen” the recipe with a teaspoon of honey.
5. Mix thoroughly and apply to face.
6. Wash off with warm water after 15 minutes.

1. Mix 4 tablespoons of mineral water, the same amount of glycerin, 2 teaspoons of gelatin and 1 teaspoon of honey.
2. We wait for the gelatin to swell, stir well, and heat in a water bath.
3. Pour in another 4 tablespoons of mineral water and mix again.
4. Apply the product to the face and leave for 20 minutes.
5. Wash off with water at room temperature.

You can store the mask in the refrigerator in a tightly closed glass container. With regular use (1-2 times a week), you will see that the skin has become smooth, elastic and firm.

Correct use of a mask with glycerin against wrinkles

1. The concentration of glycerin in a cosmetic product should be within 7-10%. To achieve the desired effect, the substance must always be diluted with water or oil.
2. It should be taken into account that glycerin does not always save you from wrinkles. Too dry air (in hot summer conditions or, conversely, at the height of the heating season) threatens the formation of a film on the surface of the skin. Because of this, glycerin will absorb moisture not from the environment, but from the epidermis - that is, the result will be exactly the opposite of the desired one. Don't forget that air conditioning also reduces humidity.
3. After the mask, use your regular face cream for additional skin care.

Precautionary measures

1. Select ingredients for masks based on your own feelings and experience. Do not use ingredients that cause an allergic reaction. Before trying a new face mask composition, it is advisable to conduct a test (apply a drop of the mixture to the inner bend of your elbow) to make sure there are no side effects.
2. All manipulations with masks that contain anti-wrinkle glycerin are recommended to be performed in the first half of the day - otherwise, in the morning you may be in for a “surprise” in the form of swelling.
