Laryngitis Hemorrhagic

Laryngitis hemoragic (LHE) is an inflammatory disease of the upper respiratory tract, which is accompanied by hemorrhages in the mucous membrane of the larynx and trachea. This is an extremely dangerous disease that can lead to serious complications and even death.

The causes of LHE are not always known, but it is usually an infection or allergy. Symptoms usually include sore throat, difficulty breathing, cough and bloody sputum. If left untreated, LHE can progress and develop into asthma as well as emphysema.

Treatment for LHE depends on the cause of the disease. Usually the doctor prescribes antibiotics or antiviral drugs. In severe cases, hormonal medications may be required to improve respiratory function. Symptomatic measures such as expectorants are also given to reduce cough
