Lead AVR (variant of ECG lead I) is accepted among athletes and those involved in martial arts, as it gives a clear picture of the ventricular complexes in subjects with a normal location of the heart. In addition, this lead reflects the condition of the right ventricle. The ventricular complex recorded in this lead (the R wave is high in amplitude and wide in width) indicates right ventricular hypertrophy (see Fig. 4).
