Lesgaft Anatoly Petrovich (1887−1925) - domestic scientist, professor, psychophysiologist. Considers the mental and moral education of children and youth in the learning process. He proved the need for the formation of a correct educational process and provisions on the influence of work on the mental development of children. Conducted experiments with children to study the elements of ethics, aesthetics, general and specific pathology, hygiene and sports.

Studied the relationship between labor and physical education of young children. Science has proven that work is a leading factor in the development of children’s motor skills: it leads to the development of strength, endurance, sense of balance, and coordination of movements. It was concluded that it is necessary to use the labor of preschool children to consolidate the skill of walking.
