Consanguineous Marriage

Consanguineous marriages between people of the same family are called inbreeding. Previously, inbreeding was considered not only a natural relationship between relatives, but also was the result of selection of incestuous couples due to marriage restrictions or restrictions on the registration of marriage in the future. With the increase in the population, the increase in human migrations led to the fact that when such marriages were concluded, there were much fewer marriages, which contributed to the transmission of hereditary characteristics. Throughout history, consanguineous marriages have been widely used to preserve and maintain characteristics associated with certain social classes. For example, incest was common among royal families and aristocratic races during the Renaissance.
