To begin with, it is worth saying that chronic lymphangiitis is a chronic inflammation of blood vessels (lymphatic), often associated with certain diseases, such as HIV infection, Langhan's disease, some types of sarcoidosis and other conditions of the immune system. The disease can be either primary (initially it is lymphanginitis) or secondary (it is one of the symptoms of another disease).
As a rule, chronic lymphangitis is a long and continuous process, but it can become more acute with hyperthermia, inflammation, itching, and a constant wet cough. In this case, symptoms may indicate the need to see a doctor.
Chronic lymphangitis is considered a dangerous condition, as it can lead to a gradual decrease in immunity, the development of concomitant diseases, and serious consequences for the patient’s health.
