Lymph Nodes Subinguinal Superficial

Lymph nodes are organs of the lymphatic system that perform an important function in cleansing the body of harmful substances and microorganisms. They are located throughout the body, but are most common in the groin area. Infrainguinal superficial lymph nodes are a type of lymph node that is located under the skin in the groin area.

The superficial infrainguinal lymph nodes are oval in shape and can range in size from a few millimeters to several centimeters. Their color is usually pale pink or white, and they may be slightly visible under the skin. They are located in the groin area, on the inside of the thigh, just above the knee.

Functions of the lymphatic infrainguinal superficial nodes:

  1. Cleansing the blood of harmful substances such as toxins, bacteria and viruses.
  2. Protecting the body from infections and diseases.
  3. Participates in the immune system, helping the body fight infections and disease.
  4. Production of antibodies that protect the body from disease and infection.
