Lipogranulomatosis Mesentery

Lipogranulomatosis is a rare disease that is caused by an abnormal immune response to fatty tissue or other harmful substances. This leads to the deposition of fat cells in the tissues that surround the organs, including the intestinal mesentery.

Lipogranulomatosis most often occurs in men aged 40 to 60 years. In most cases, it may not cause any symptoms for several years. However, sometimes this disease is accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, weight loss, fatigue and indigestion.

There are several types of lipogranulmatosis, each of which has its own characteristics of development and manifestation. One of the most common is lipogranulomatous inflammation of the lung. Patients typically have symptoms such as a chronic cough, shortness of breath and chest pain, and may also experience fever and weight loss.

The diagnosis of intestinal lipogranulomatosis can be made through blood tests, tissue biopsies, and other research methods. Treatment depends on the stage of the disease and the general condition of the patient. Some patients may be treated with antibiotics, corticosteroids, or chemotherapy, while others may require surgery to remove abnormal tissue.
