Lipochondrodia is a rare hereditary disease: persistent, non-increasing deposition of subcutaneous fatty tissue on the face (“facial liposarcoma”), neck, upper chest, etc. In adults, lipochondrodia, which does not manifest itself in childhood, is very severe - painful joint pain develops limbs, and it is possible to damage not only large but also small joints; on the tongue - taste sensitivity. Subsequently, pain appears in the spine, the skeletal system becomes extremely fragile, resulting in pathological fractures, deformities of the spine and limbs. Affected skin becomes wrinkled and hair falls out. Rarely, the disease affects the cardiovascular system or causes carcinoma. Hypothyroidism, xeroderma, vitiligo, xerosis, baldness, and diabetes insipidus are also noted. In the mild form of lipochondrodia, only lipomatosis is observed. Children usually die immediately
