Longidaza

Longidaza: an effective enzyme agent for complex therapy

Longidaza is a pharmaceutical drug produced in Russia by Petrovax Pharm. It belongs to the group of various enzyme agents and is a lyophilisate intended for the preparation of a solution for intramuscular and subcutaneous administration. Longidaza is also known under the international name "Longidaza".

The active ingredient of Longidase is longidase with hyaluronidase activity. This enzyme has the ability to destroy hyaluronic acid, the main component of connective tissue. Thanks to this mechanism of action, Longidaza exhibits a wide range of therapeutic effects.

Longidaza is used in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age as part of complex therapy for various diseases accompanied by connective tissue hyperplasia. The drug is effective in such areas of medicine as pulmonology, urology, gynecology, orthopedics, surgery, cosmetology and dermatovenerology.

In pulmonology, Longidaza is used in the development of inflammatory processes of the interstitial type, such as pneumofibrosis, tuberculosis, alveolitis and tuberculoma. In urology and gynecology, the drug is used to treat chronic interstitial cystitis, adhesions in the pelvis, as well as tubo-peritoneal infertility.

In orthopedics, surgery and cosmetology, Longidaza is used to treat keloid, hypertrophic and retracted scars formed after pyoderma, injuries, burns and operations. The drug is also effective for long-term non-healing wounds, joint contractures, arthritis, hematomas and adhesions.

In dermatovenerology, Longidaza is used to treat limited scleroderma of various localizations. In addition, the drug can be used to increase the bioavailability of drugs and diagnostic drugs.

Longidaza has some contraindications. It is not recommended in case of increased individual sensitivity to the drug, as well as in the presence of malignant neoplasms. The use of Longidase is also not recommended during pregnancy and in children under 12 years of age. In acute renal failure and pulmonary hemorrhages, the drug should be used with caution.

Longidaza is usually administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the specific disease and are decided by the doctor individually for each patient.

Despite the fact that Longidaza is an effective enzyme agent, you should consult your doctor before using the drug. Only a qualified specialist will be able to evaluate the indications, contraindications and determine the optimal dosage and regimen of use in each specific case.
