What is a Cysltopapillary lung tumor?
Lung tumors can be of different types and can affect a person's health. One type of lung tumor is cystopapillary adenoma or cystocystadenopapillary tumor. This type of tumor has characteristic features that can only be diagnosed by specialists. As the name implies, the main difference between a cystopapillary tumor and other types is the appearance of protrusions that discharge the secretion of the gland in the form of threads.
Cystopapillary carcinoma develops from a mutant cell that forms branched branches or tree-like elongated (papillomatous) structures. In contrast to the tumor growth of alveolar cancer, cellular elements are located along the periphery and around the bronchus, and inside the bronchial space there is a lumen filled with mucus. Neoplasms of this type can form in any part of the lung.
