Eye Makeup

Eye makeup has its own characteristics and secrets.

Stage 1. It is necessary to apply a small amount of eye cream or gel to the eyelid or around the eyes. Please ensure that the cream or gel is suitable for daily use. Apply moisturizers very carefully, remembering that the skin around the eyes is the most vulnerable. Then you should wait for 3 minutes so that the product has time to be absorbed. Remove the remaining cream or gel using a paper napkin, trying to do this as carefully as possible without stretching the skin.

Step 2: Now you should apply a thin layer of powder on your eyelid. It is advisable to use powdered powder. This step is necessary to ensure that the shadows adhere better to oil-free and dry eyelids. Otherwise, under the influence of skin heat, the shadows will be smeared. Apply powder with a clean brush. By the way, at the same time you will check how smooth the surface you will be working with is.

Stage 3. Next, you need to apply shadow to the eyelid. Remember that it is better to use a small amount of shadows so as not to look like a doll. It is also necessary to take into account that they are applied in a thin layer, gradually increasing the intensity. Consider your color preferences, as well as your individual characteristics. Dry eyeshadow can also be applied with your finger. If you use several shades of shadows, then try to shade the transitions from one color to another.

Stage 4. After applying the shadows, powder them again. This will extend the life of your makeup and prevent the shadows from settling in the crease of your eyelid.

Stage 5. To emphasize the expressiveness of the eyes, you can draw arrows. If you decide to use a pencil, you should first sharpen it. Liquid eyeliner is always applied on top of the shadows, but with a pencil you can line your eyes both on top of them and before the position of the shadows - depending on the desired effect.

Try to draw a straight line from the inner corner of the eye about two-thirds to the outer corner. And this must be done in one movement. When drawing an arrow with a pencil, it is better to slightly stretch the skin of the eyelid with your finger so that it does not gather in folds and the line turns out smooth. In the middle of the eyelid the line may be a little thicker. This visually enlarges the eyes.

As you move towards the outer corner of the eye, try to draw the line higher and bring it beyond the outer corner of the eye, from where start moving down and further along the lower eyelid as close to the eyelashes as possible, but do not reach the middle. Paint over the letter U that you have created, but you will have to slightly touch the space of the main color. You gave yourself slightly slanted, almond-shaped eyes.

The pencil liner can be slightly shaded with a cotton applicator - a very soft, gentle transition will be created. In addition, the arrow can be made with the help of shadows of a darker shade, using the side part of the applicator. Draw the line as close to the roots of the eyelashes as possible.

Stage 6. Now you need to pay attention to the eyelashes. To make them look neat, comb them with a special comb. Apply a little mascara to the brush to prevent your eyelashes from sticking. Start applying mascara from the very roots, then move the brush up and down in a smooth motion - if you are applying mascara to the lower eyelashes. This must be done evenly, following the growth of the eyelashes.

Try not to let the brush go to the side, otherwise you risk sticking your eyelashes together. After applying the first layer of mascara, wait 3 minutes and apply the second layer.

Memo:

  1. Sticky eyelashes can be returned to normal by combing them.

  2. To make eyelashes “look up”, they can be bent using special tweezers. Just don’t put the tweezers very close to the roots if your eyelashes are already colored - you’ll stain your eyelid.

Helpful information:

Concealing skin imperfections

  1. To remove dark circles under your eyes, apply a light-colored concealer only to the bluish areas of the skin under your eyes. If your eyelids are dark in color, apply concealer to them as well.

  2. To hide puffiness under the eyes
