Description and composition of Maxivart

Pictured is Maxivart for the treatment of warts

Maxivart is classified as a cryotherapy drug. These are those medical products that treat dermatological diseases using freezing - exposing the epidermis to low temperatures. Growths caused by the human papillomavirus are treated throughout the depth of their penetration into the epidermis.

The product is intended for the treatment of warts. Most often, these are simple warts (vulgar), localized in the arms and legs (mainly the fingers of the upper and lower extremities), as well as neoplasms located on the feet - spinules or, as they are also called, plantar warts.

Maxivart contains dimethyl ether. It is a chemically inert, colorless gas with a characteristic odor. This gas is obtained by processing natural gas, from coal or biomass. It is a multi-purpose fuel, in particular intended for gas welding and gas cutting. It is used for the synthesis of dimethyl sulfate and is a propillant in aerosol cans. Used as a solvent and extractant. Used as a refrigerant. It is actively used for cosmetic purposes to remove warts.

Maxivart is available in aerosol form; the kit includes an applicator that makes application of the drug not only convenient, but also safe for healthy skin. Cylinder volume - 20 ml, 38 ml. Packaged in a cardboard box, complete with instructions. This volume is enough for 12-15 applications (depending on the manufacturer of the product).

The price of Maxivart is from 720 rubles in Russia (from 275 hryvnia in Ukraine).

Analogues of Maxivart — Cryopharma, Wartner (Wartner Cryo). These drugs are not direct analogues, but those that have a similar effect on the tumor.

A mandatory condition for storing the product is to prevent it from being exposed to direct sunlight and heating the container to a temperature above 50°C. Do not disassemble, pierce, or throw the cylinder into the fire even after it has been used or the expiration date has expired. Since the product is flammable, it should not be used near open flame sources, as well as heating devices - radiators, air heaters, irons, curling irons, candles, etc.

Note! Smoking is strictly prohibited during the procedure.

The benefits of Maxivart for warts

Removal of papillomas using cryofreezing or cryodestruction is one of the traditional methods of treating benign tumors caused by HPV. Previously, this method was more often used in medical institutions, but with the advent of special aerosol medications, which include Maxivart, it became possible to independently remove papillomas and warts at home.

The therapeutic effect of the drug when removing warts is as follows:

  1. Freezing. The method is based on freezing the deep tissues of the wart. In fact, in cells mutated due to the human papillomavirus, a decrease in water temperature occurs, which leads to complete freezing.
  2. Tissue necrosis. The process described above leads to the death of tissues treated with Maxivart.
  3. Peeling. Gradually, these cells become keratinized and independently peel off from the healthy epidermis.
  4. Regeneration. After the wart peels off, an active process of tissue regeneration occurs underneath it.

Instructions for use of Maxivart for warts

Before using Maxivart to remove warts, you must consult a doctor - a dermatologist, surgeon, or oncologist. They will help determine the degree of oncogenicity of your tumor. If it has low oncogenicity or if the growth cannot develop into cancer, self-treatment is allowed. If the growth has an average degree of degeneration, it is better to treat such neoplasms in a medical center. Epidermal formations with a high degree must be treated exclusively by medical personnel.

Warts that are red, black or brown, or those with an outline of this color, should not be treated.

Like most products aimed at removing benign tumors caused by the human papillomavirus, this one is used exclusively externally. Before use, you must study the instructions for use of Maxivart.

The remedy for warts should be used as follows:

  1. If a wart on the foot needs to be removed, steam it and remove as much dead skin as possible using nail scissors, a pumice stone or a pedicure file.
  2. Before treating warts vulgaris, wash the wart with soap and water.
  3. There is no need to wipe the new growth dry. It should not be wet, but it can be damp, this will improve the penetration of the drug deep into the tissues.
  4. Open the box and take out the applicator bottle. Never remove the plastic applicator from the bottle.
  5. Point the Maxivart applicator at the new growth so that it is located above the wart and its edges are completely adjacent to the treated area of skin. Using slight force, press the applicator onto the tumor.
  6. For one wart, use 3 pumps on the applicator. After this, hold it on the growth for at least 10 seconds.
  7. Remove the applicator. Leave the wart alone for 10-15 minutes.

If the tumor is located in a place where mechanical damage cannot be avoided, for example, on the soles of the feet, or it can be damaged by clothing, it is better to cover it with a plaster for several hours.

According to Maxivart's instructions, under no circumstances should you scratch, rub, or steam the wart after applying the drug. Also, pumice stones, cutting with nail scissors, or erasing with a sanding file should not be used to speed up the process. The tumor should separate on its own.

It is important to ensure subsequent hygiene of the wart. Within a few hours after application, you can take a bath, shower, swim in pools and ponds without restrictions.

If multiple tumors are to be removed, it is advisable to gradually remove the growths with an interval of 10-14 days between applications.

If the growth has not completely disappeared, re-treatment of tumors that have already been treated with Maxivart for warts is allowed. An interval of 2 weeks is also required between applications.

The maximum number of applications is 3, with a mandatory break between them. If in this case the use of the product does not bring the desired effect, consult a doctor.

Results of treatment of warts with Maxivart

The photo shows the result of treatment of spines with Maxivart

According to Maxivart's instructions, the wart should go away after the first application of the product.

After treatment with the drug, a bubble appears inside the neoplasm, often filled with a clear or pale pink liquid.

If the liquid is clear, it means the treatment was carried out shallowly. If there has been deep penetration and the capillaries are affected, it has a pinkish tint.

After 4-5 days, the bubble may open on its own. In this case, it is necessary to blot the released liquid with a sterile napkin. In the absence of inflammation or irritation, no additional treatments are necessary. If any, consult a doctor.

After a week, the skin under the burst blister will be more elastic, and the wart will gradually begin to peel off. This will also happen if there was no bubble or it did not burst.

It usually takes no more than 2 weeks for the wart to completely peel off. It takes about a month to restore the skin in the place where there was previously an epidermal neoplasm. After this, no traces, wounds, or scars should remain from the growth.

Manufacturers attribute exceptions to violations of the rules for using this product.

Real reviews about Maxivart for warts

Maxivart has collected a lot of reviews. But many of them are negative.

Marianna, 27 years old

Our eight-year-old son, after attending a children's summer camp, arrived with a wart on his index finger. They write on the Internet that if the child has good immunity, then it will pass on its own within some time. Since the child has never suffered from frequent colds and does not have any chronic diseases, we decided to wait a while. Unfortunately, the wart only grew in size. And after a month and a half, other growths began to appear on my hands. As a result, we came to the conclusion that we need to fight neoplasms. We read a lot of information and decided that the most effective methods are surgical removal, cryofreezing and the laser method. They didn’t want to get involved with surgery, the laser was also a little confusing, but they decided to try freezing. Preference was given to the home method of cryotherapy - using the drug Maxivart for warts. We bought it at the pharmacy and used it strictly according to the instructions. Before this, we received the approval of the pediatrician for this procedure, since she assured us that this neoplasm is exclusively benign and is a growth caused by the human papillomavirus, which is called a simple or vulgar wart. We carried out the first treatment, after which there was no effect at all. We waited 10 days and carried out a second treatment. The wart has shrunk a little, but it has not completely disappeared. Then, after another 10 days, we carried out the third procedure. The wart turned red, became inflamed, hurt quite a lot, and burned, but, unfortunately, it never fell off. In the end, we used laser removal. We also arrived with other neoplasms.

Veronica, 36 years old

Frankly speaking, I don’t understand why everyone is so critical of Maxivart for wart removal? My impressions of this drug are extremely positive. I have two children, one is 10 years old, the second is 6 years old. They live in the same room, they share toys, they constantly play on the same carpet, in general, I’m not surprised that they have common skin diseases. First, the warts appeared on the youngest, I suspect that he brought them from kindergarten. After this, tumors began to appear in the older one. Mostly the fingers are susceptible to this disease, but once my youngest son got a small wart on his toe. I was frankly scared to use aggressive products for children, such as Superclean, Salicylic acid or other acids. And this is not provided for in the instructions for use. Then they decided to use a product with dimethyl ether. Despite the fact that it is not cheap, it is economically beneficial for us, since two guys use it at once. Before using the product, the sons washed their hands thoroughly with soap and wiped the warts dry. After this, we applied the drug to one of the growths on each of our sons. And indeed, as it was written in the instructions, after 2 weeks there was no trace of the warts left. My sons did not have any unpleasant sensations from using the product, so the next time we treated all the remaining warts at once: 3 on the eldest and 4 on the youngest. The effect was similar; after 10-12 days we forgot about such a problem as warts. Therefore, I recommend this product, but I advise you to always look at the expiration dates when purchasing, use strictly for its intended purpose and observe storage conditions.

Vladimir, 44 years old

With the help of Maxivart, I tried to get rid of an old thorn on my leg. I steamed the leg, cut off the dry skin and used a freezing agent. Unfortunately, it did not remove the old large wart. But nearby, several small ones actually managed to be eliminated. Although I had read before that warts are better removed the sooner you start treatment, but somehow I couldn’t get around to it, so I started my plantar wart. As a result, we had to use chemical acids, which, although they helped, caused such a burn that the wound took a very long time to heal, and then a small scar formed. Therefore, now, as soon as any hint of a wart appears, I immediately use this remedy.
