The measles cultural live dry vaccine is intended for the prevention of measles. It is produced in Russia by such companies as Vector, Microgen, and the Moscow enterprise for the production of bacterial preparations.

The vaccine contains live attenuated measles virus strain L-16 and gentamicin sulfate. Available in the form of a lyophilisate for the preparation of a solution for injection.

Indications for use are planned and emergency prevention of measles.

Contraindications include hypersensitivity to vaccine components, severe reactions to previous administration, immunodeficiency, cancer, pregnancy.

The vaccine cannot be administered against the background of fever, acute respiratory viral infections, or exacerbations of chronic diseases. Vaccination is carried out according to the schedule at the age of 12-15 months and 6 years.

In general, the vaccine is well tolerated, with mild side effects. The vaccine ensures the formation of intense immunity to measles.
