Mediastinopericarditis Adhesive

Mediastinopericardiod is an inflammation of the pericardium or mediastin. This is a very rare disease and occurs due to a weakened immune system. Accompanied by clinical signs associated with compression of the heart due to an increase in the size of the affected organ. The disease can only be treated surgically, when an emergency operation is performed. The condition cannot be treated conservatively. As mediastinitis progresses, extirpation is performed. Patients recover poorly after this and may remain disabled.
