Medical and Sanitary Part Closed

A medical and sanitary unit (M-SCH) is a medical institution that is designed to serve employees of a particular organization or enterprise.

Medical and sanitary units may be closed, that is, serve only employees of a certain enterprise or organization. This allows for more efficient and faster treatment of workers, as well as lower medical costs.

Closed medical units have their advantages and disadvantages. They provide faster and better treatment as all employees undergo medical examination and treatment in one place. In addition, such facilities have access to specialized medical services that may not be available in other medical facilities.

However, closed health units also have their disadvantages. Firstly, they may be less accessible to the public, since they are intended only for employees of a certain organization. Second, workers may have limited access to other health care facilities, which may result in longer treatment times.

Overall, closed health units are an effective tool for keeping workers healthy and reducing health care costs, but they can also have their own disadvantages and limitations.

A closed medical facility is a medical institution that serves only a certain group of people, for example, employees of a specific organization or enterprise. In its operating principles and focus, such an institution is very different from an ordinary medical hospital. What is the difference between a closed medical facility and a medical institution we are used to?

Let's start with the fact that usually all medical units provide medical care to the personnel of their enterprise or institution and, upon registration in a subscription, become its patients. Therefore, inside such an institution it is not always possible to get a consultation with a doctor, who, as a rule, must make an appointment so that the time of the specialist’s appointment is convenient for the patient, and not the employer for whom this medical care is provided. On the other hand, the patient himself has the right to receive any medical care regulated by current legislation. The employer, in turn, also has the right to take his employee to the medical service for free (and this is not a fact).

A closed medical unit is intended for completely different categories of citizens, and among them:

- education workers; - employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee; - military.

Each of these population areas has its own characteristics in terms of health care needs. For those working in the field of education, the quality of health of teachers is of primary importance, on which the quality of educational services and student performance depend. In addition, the heavy load on the body from the physically demanding work of doctors and teachers creates a high risk of morbidity. Hence the specific list of doctors of the medical and preventive service, which, in addition to the therapist, includes an ophthalmologist, a neurologist, a gynecologist, a dermatovenerologist, and an infectious disease specialist.
