The Medical Flight Commission (MFC) is a specialized medical institution that conducts medical examinations of civil and military aircraft flight personnel, as well as pilots and other aviation-related specialists.
The main tasks of the VLK are to determine the suitability of candidates for flight work, identify and prevent occupational diseases and injuries, as well as monitor compliance with flight safety rules.
The medical flight commission consists of several doctors of different specialties who conduct a comprehensive medical examination of candidates for flight work. During the examination, doctors assess the candidate’s physical condition, his mental health, and also analyze the results of tests and other medical studies.
Based on the results of the examination, the candidate receives a conclusion about his suitability for flying work or the presence of contraindications. If a candidate does not meet the requirements, he will not be allowed to fly.
Thus, the medical and flight commission is an important link in the flight safety system, as it allows us to identify and prevent possible risks to the health and life of pilots and other aviation specialists.
