The causes of mencular arthritis can be a long stay in a damp and cold environment, heavy physical labor, mechanical trauma, gout, osteoarthritis, etc.

Characteristic of mencular disease is a combination of general and local symptoms, manifested by a feeling of constant tension in the lower extremities, pain in the lower and upper legs, difficulties in flexing and extending the knee, as well as pathological changes in cartilage tissue.
