Mexitil

Mexityl is one of the most effective antiarrhythmic membrane-stabilizing agents, which is used to treat ventricular arrhythmias. It was developed in Germany, German Remedies, Zdrava and Eczacebaşi.

Mexityl is available in various forms, including capsules in dosages of 50 mg and 200 mg, and an injection solution in dosages of 250 mg. There are also retard capsules in a dosage of 360 mg and a solution for intravenous administration in a dosage of 250 mg.

The active substance of Mexitil - mexiletine - has a membrane-stabilizing effect, which helps normalize heart rhythm and prevent life-threatening arrhythmias.

Indications for the use of Meksitil are the prevention and treatment of ventricular tachycardias and extrasystoles of high gradations, including paired ones.

However, like any medicine, Meksitil has contraindications. Hypersensitivity to local anesthetics from the group of local anesthetics may be a contraindication for taking Mexitil.
