Women are happy to borrow cosmetics from children's care lines because they are truly safe and suitable for even the most sensitive skin. This is how moms discovered micellar water and quickly found a place for it on their dressing tables. Manufacturers got their bearings in time and included an innovative product in their range of skin care cosmetics. Now in stores you can find micellar solutions for washing and removing makeup for any skin type. And the best of these funds are included in our rating.
Which brand of micellar water should I choose?
All cosmetic giants today produce micellar (or dispersion) solutions. The most popular brands can afford to bring good products to the market at a very reasonable price. These include:
We were able to find cheaper analogues in the assortment of the companies Ziaja (Poland) and Family Doctor (Ukraine).
There are other well-known manufacturers, but they are more focused on producing medicinal and caring cosmetics. Their products cause the least complaints, but they are not cheap.
If you don’t mind spending any money in pursuit of beauty and healthy skin, we recommend paying attention to the following brands:
7. La Roche-Posay
The products of these brands should be chosen by people with serious dermatological problems that cannot be solved by ordinary cosmetic solutions.
The best micellar water for cleansing
The simplest and most “gentle” type of micellar can be used even to care for very sensitive skin. These formulas provide gentle cleansing and do not contain aggressive substances. Even tight-fisted Europeans specifically buy micellar solutions for washing their face in order to spend less on regular water. After all, to effectively clean your face, you don’t need to splash around under the tap - just wipe your face with a cotton pad soaked in a dispersion product. It’s also convenient to take this water with you to work or on the road. The main advantage of such compositions is that they really do not need to be washed off.
Garnier Skin Naturals
The most popular water that is suitable for all skin types. It has regenerating properties, restores youth and freshness to the face. Sold in bottles of 200 and 400 ml.
Pros:
- Mattifies oily facial skin and T-zone;
- Suitable even for sensitive dermis;
- Capable of removing waterproof makeup;
- Does not sting the eyes;
- Does not leave a film and does not clog pores;
- Without smell;
- Convenient dispenser and strong bottle;
- Low cost.
Minuses:
- To remove makeup, you will have to make more than one pass with a cotton swab over the skin;
- It dries out a little, so subsequent moisturizing will not be superfluous.
Customers especially praise this product for its good quality at an affordable price. Many switched from more expensive micellar products to Garnier after the first trials. Our women also found several non-standard ways to use dispersion water: washing away traces of tape and stickers from things, cleaning leather bags and cosmetic bags, and smooth insoles of summer shoes. In general, they really use it as a universal cleanser.
La Roche-Posay Physiological
A French thermal water solution for sensitive skin solves several problems at once: cleanses the face, restores the protective and physiological functions of the skin. When using it, the manufacturer promises better absorption of moisturizing and caring cosmetics, as well as a calming and relaxing effect. Dispersed water of this brand is manufactured in France and Germany and is sold in bottles of different sizes: 200, 400 and 750 ml.
Pros:
- Suitable for people with sensitive skin;
- Copes with removing cosmetics, even very persistent ones;
- Nice smell;
- Does not irritate the eyes;
- There is no feeling of tightness on the face;
- It feels like the skin is breathing.
Minuses:
- Inconvenient dispenser - water flows reluctantly;
- It is supplied in unsealed packaging, so it is better to buy in trusted stores.
Women especially note the feeling of smooth skin after cleansing their face with La Roche-Posay micellar solution, however, contrary to the manufacturer’s advice, they still recommend washing it off their face.
Family Doctor
The formula of this water is enriched with milk and silk proteins, tea (red and rooibos), and contains D-panthenol, which accelerates the regeneration of skin cells. It also contains the Sum Calmin complex to combat inflammation and irritation on the face. The micellar solution is suitable for any skin type and is sold in 265 and 500 ml bottles.
Pros:
- Hypoallergenic composition;
- Does not dry the skin;
- Economical consumption if you do not try to wipe off cosmetics;
- The bottle cap is easy to open (in a bag too, so be careful);
- Low price.
Minuses:
- The smell may seem harsh to some;
- Not suitable for makeup removal - cleansing only.
Like many similar products, this micellar solution has its fans and those for whom water was not suitable. But she has much more positive reviews.
Best micellar water for makeup removal
These products already include glycol components and surfactants, which provide better cleaning. Although such micellar water effectively removes waterproof makeup from the skin, it requires mandatory rinsing - no matter what the advertisers promise.
Uriage Thermal Micellar Water Normal to Dry Skin
Designed to cleanse and remove makeup from normal to dry skin. The solution contains glycerin, which retains moisture in the epidermal cells, so after micellar treatment there is no feeling of tightness on the face. It is made from natural thermal water with the addition of softening and depigmenting cranberry extract. You can distinguish this solution from other products in the line by the blue cap on the bottle. The volume of the bottle is 250 ml.
Pros:
- Gentle cleansing;
- Removes makeup in one pass;
- Pleasant, subtle floral scent;
- Relieves skin irritation;
- There is no feeling of sticky film;
- Does not sting the eyes;
- It tones well.
Minuses:
If your facial skin is prone to redness and rosacea, it is better to choose Uriage water with a red cap. It contains apricot oil, which removes inflammation and prevents skin flaking. For oily and combination skin, in the same line there is a mattifying solution - in a bottle with a green cap.
Vichy Cleansing Sensitive Skin
The 3-in-1 product is more focused on removing eye makeup and use on sensitive skin. Soothes inflamed areas and relieves irritation while gently cleansing the face. Like the previous solution, it is prepared with thermal water, but is enriched with Gallic rose extract, whose phytophenols provide an additional softening effect. Sold in 200 ml bottles, but there are also 30 ml samples.
Pros:
- Does not contain alcohols;
- Gently removes makeup in one pass with a sponge;
- Does not leave a shiny film;
- Slowly consumed;
- Can be used even by those who wear contact lenses.
Minuses:
- Doesn't work with waterproof mascara;
- Despite the miraculous composition, it requires rinsing off - you can’t leave it on the skin.
Avène Micellar Lotion Cleanser and Make-Up Remover
This water is suitable for all women, although it was initially positioned by the manufacturer as a product for particularly sensitive and redness-prone skin. The dispersion solution is prepared based on thermal spring water and has not only a cleansing and moisturizing effect, but also softens the dermis. The product is sold in 400 ml bottles (less often – 200 ml).
Pros:
- Relieves irritation and soothes the skin;
- Can be used to remove eye makeup;
- Hypoallergenic composition;
- Does not clog pores;
- Moisturizes dry skin while relieving irritation;
- It removes even greasy eyeliner well.
Minuses:
- There is a sticky feeling on the skin - it needs to be washed off;
- The smell, although pleasant, is too pronounced.
Best micellar water for dry skin
Almost no different from micellar wash or makeup remover, but its formula necessarily includes additional moisturizing and water-retaining components. At the same time, alcohols and aggressive preservatives are removed from such formulations.
Bioderma Crealine H2O
The most popular and best-selling dispersion solution is suitable for dry and normal skin. It carefully cleanses it without destroying the protective lipid film on the face. Available in bottles of 100, 250 and 500 ml.
Pros:
- Fast and effective cleansing;
- It is not felt on the face, although there is a feeling of slippery skin when washed off;
- No alcohol in the composition;
- Very light neutral aroma;
- Does not cause allergies or irritation;
- Suitable for removing makeup from eyelids;
- Economical consumption.
Minuses:
- Unreliable lid - breaks quickly.
L’Oreal “Absolute tenderness”
A gentle solution that is suitable for removing make-up from any part of the face. The product completely replaces tonic and milk, copes well with the main problems of dry skin, but it has a very complex and multi-component composition, which is scary at first.
Pros:
- Removes makeup in one or two movements;
- Does not contain fragrances or alcohol;
- Hypoallergenic composition;
- Has a softening and soothing effect on the skin;
- Does not sting the eyes;
- Convenient compact bottle;
- The lid opens easily, although it fits tightly;
- Reasonable price.
Minuses:
- Doesn't work well with waterproof cosmetics;
- The hole in the lid is too big - a lot of liquid pours out at once.
Customers believe that the name “Absolute Tenderness” suits this water perfectly. However, there are some reviews where women say that L'Oreal micellar did not suit them.
Ziaja Natural olive
The water is sold in cute 200 ml bottles and is positioned specifically as a cleansing and caring product. Contains olive oil and glycerin, which are responsible for moisturizing dry and normal skin, while leaving the face feeling fresh.
Pros:
- Tones the skin and makes it pleasantly velvety to the touch;
- Well softens and moisturizes;
- Unobtrusive aroma;
- Convenient dispenser;
- Low price.
Minuses:
- Not suitable for removing makeup on sensitive eyes;
- Used up quickly.
Some customers note that the Ziaja dispersion solution foams when used, so it is not advisable to leave it on the face - it is better to wash it off. Negative reviews are mainly due to the fact that the product has a narrowly targeted action. Those who expected more from it than gentle cleansing and care for dry skin were disappointed.
Best micellar water for oily skin
Initially, micellar formulations were not intended to care for shiny facial skin with wide pores, or at least required rinsing, since they left behind a shiny film. Today, dispersion solutions have appeared that are free of these disadvantages.
Bioderma Sebium H2O
An excellent choice for oily and inflammation-prone skin. The principle of action of this product is interesting - Sebium does not dry out the face, but only regulates the secretions of the sebaceous glands. In addition, water has bactericidal and soothing properties, reducing the appearance of acne. Sold in bottles of 100 and 250 ml.
Pros:
- Soothes inflamed skin;
- Virtually odorless;
- In terms of the degree of purification - one of the most effective;
- Does not give a feeling of dryness on the face;
- Can be used for skin diseases.
Minuses:
- Cannot be used for eye make-up removal;
- High price.
Garnier “Clean Skin”
A fairly popular and widespread product from a well-known brand has already been tried by many owners of oily and combination skin. First of all, they were attracted by the volume of the bottle - 400 ml, but after opening the solution must be used within 6 months.
Pros:
- Slight matting effect;
- Pore cleansing;
- Without smell;
- Moisturizes – there is no feeling of tightness on the face after use;
- Does not contain parabens or fragrances;
- Copes well with makeup removal;
- Low cost.
Minuses:
- Stings the eyes;
- Contains alcohol, although this is not critical for healthy oily skin;
- The lid is not tamper proof.
Which micellar water to buy
1. If you have very sensitive skin that does not tolerate even ordinary tap water, you should choose Garnier Skin Naturals for washing.
2. For those with very dry skin that needs constant hydration, Physiological Micellar Solution from the French brand La Roche-Posay or Bioderma Crealine H2O solution is suitable for daily cleansing.
3. Cleansing and additional care while preserving moisture in dry skin cells will be provided by the Polish Ziaja dispersion solution with the addition of olive oil.
4. If you are going to use micellar water not only for regular facial cleansing, but also to remove makeup, it is better to take Uriage thermal water under a blue or red cap (the latter will help to quickly cope with redness and rosacea).
5. Vichy Cleansing is ideal for removing makeup from sensitive eye skin.
6. Universal makeup removers for any skin type – Lotion Cleanser and Make-Up Remover from the French brand Avène and cheaper L’Oreal “Absolute Tenderness” water.
7. Do you want to save money on cleaning products? Try the inexpensive Family Doctor dispersion solution.
8. For those with combination skin, Bioderma Sébium H2O is perfect. It is designed to cleanse oily areas, but is gentle and does not dry out the face, so everyone can use it in the summer.
9. Garnier “Clean Skin” can effectively rid oily skin of excess sebaceous secretions and decorative cosmetics.

Does it make sense to buy expensive micellar water? Lena Korenkova compares the budget Garnier with five copies more expensive than 1,500 rubles, and cosmetologist Tiina Orasmäe-Meder comments on the composition.
Previously, micellar water was sold mainly in pharmacies. Every month I bought a half-liter Bioderma Sensibio H2O there and lived in peace. But a couple of years ago, brands in other segments realized their omission - and now we have a whole sea of micellar waters for every taste, color and budget: both for the price of a loaf of bread and for the price of one or two barrels of oil.
My (and, I suspect, not only mine) quiet life is over: the only thing worse than lack of choice is abundance. And worse than the question “to be or not to be” can only be the question: are those that are more expensive really better?
To find the answer, I turned on the stopwatch on my iPhone and meticulously counted the number of cotton pads used, and compared five micellar waters that cost more than RUR 1,500. with the most budget-friendly micellar water known (and the most famous budget-friendly) Garnier.
My makeup - six days in wine lipstick and glitter on my eyelids, inhuman working conditions :) - consisted of the following set of products:
And in order to confirm or question my conclusions, I asked our expert, cosmetologist, co-author of a book about beauty myths Tiina Orasmäe-Meder, to comment on their compositions. And at the same time, recall the main rules for using any micellar water:
- Unlike most foam gel soaps, micellar water does not change the pH of the skin and does not damage the lipid barrier. Therefore, it can be called the most gentle makeup remover for every day.
- It is better to wash off micellar water. Only those with young, healthy skin can leave it on their face – and do so day after day. Any micellar water contains mild surfactants (surfactants), which, when accumulated, can cause irritation, redness and dryness of the skin. Some manufacturers claim that their micellar water does not need to be rinsed off. In fact, this is a slight cunning or an incompletely accurate formulation. This means that you can remove its remains without water - use a dry cotton pad or napkin. This is a good way if you are sure that you will cover every millimeter of the face and neck, without smearing, but by erasing traces of the micellar product. The vast majority of people can't do that.
- If in your region you cannot drink tap water, then it is better to wash off the remaining micellar water with purified water - thermal, filtered or bottled. Spray this water generously onto your face, massage lightly with your hands, wipe off with a tissue (you can repeat the sequence to be sure) and follow with a soothing anti-inflammatory toner.
Micellar water “Clean Skin”, Garnier
Makeup removal time: 2 minutes 32 seconds.
Number of cotton pads: 5.
Lena: “The feeling - forgive the pun - is as if this micellar water is diluted with water, so it slowly and reluctantly removes makeup. It's not obvious at first. When you go over it with a cotton pad for the first time, it turns into the color of the eye shadow and lipstick, and it seems – well, everything works. Now I'll save enough money to pay for a year at Yale. You don’t have time to imagine yourself in a graduation cap with a tassel - and you’re immediately disappointed. The remaining pigment does not want to go away. To “finish off” long-lasting lipstick, eyeliner and eyebrow gel, you need patience. And calmness - so as not to start openly rubbing your eyelids. The “control” makeup took five cotton pads.
In general, I didn’t get into it. Yes, it costs as much as a cup of coffee. Yes, it doesn't irritate the eyes. But – slow. It would be better if 250 ml were poured into bottles instead of 400 - if the composition was more concentrated, maybe it would work better?”
Состав: Aqua/Water, Hexylene Glycol, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Disodium EDTA, Poloxamer 184, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide. (F.I.L. B166370/1)
Tiina's opinion: “Judging by the presence of surfactants (surfactants) Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate and Poloxamer 184, the water should purify well - but that’s all. The composition does not provide additional options in the form of moisturizing or relieving irritation. But this is not necessarily a minus: if the skin is young and its main need is high-quality cleansing, this composition will be quite sufficient.”
Micellar lotion Refreshing Micellar Solution, Guerlain
Time: 2 minutes 9 seconds.
Number of cotton pads: 4.
Lena K.: “It’s a strange thing. It looks like either a soap solution or a silicone hair smoothing agent. I went to the website and discovered: indeed, Refreshing Micellar Solution is not a classic micellar water, but a lotion. In addition to removing makeup, it should tone and moisturize.
After rubbing, the skin becomes smooth and soft, but this is a fake - a film remaining on the surface. They managed to moisten it, although it was not yet cleaned. The feeling is so-so. And I don’t understand the logic - why was micellar water combined with the next stage of care, lotion, adding caring special effects? It turns out to be a contradiction: the micelles need to be washed off, but the “lotion” format assumes that the skin is cleansed and ready for serums and creams.
The lotion stings my eyes. Although I suspect that there was no need to remove makeup from them: the recommendations for use only say about the skin. So do you need a separate micellar water for your eyelids? In general, some kind of error at the design level. I only liked the powdery-floral smell.”
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, PEG-40 Glyceryl Cocoate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Coceth Sulfate, Dipotassium Glycerrhizate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Citrate, Pafrum (Fragrance), Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid , Polyquaternium-51, Nigella Sativa Seed Oil, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract. 08996M.
Tiina's opinion: “Indeed, the composition is “soapy”. With quite a lot of PEG-40 Glyceryl Cocoate and PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil - surfactants that can promote foaming. If you don't wash them off thoroughly, they can irritate your skin and your skin condition is likely to get worse.
It contains quite a few components that are used in leave-in products. For example, Dipotassium Glycerrhizate, the active ingredient in licorice extract, has a calming effect. Judging by the formula, there is a lot of it here. Polyquaternium-51 is a film former that moisturizes the skin. Baikal skullcap extract is a soothing ingredient. Low molecular weight compound of hyaluronic acid. I don't see much need for using so many active ingredients in micellar water or other cleansers - because they should be rinsed off. But this does not mean that they will completely go down the drain. Some ingredients - especially those that are small in size - still achieve the goal. By regularly using micellar water with soothing additives, sensitivity and susceptibility to inflammation will likely decrease.”
Micellar water Smart Cleanse Micellar Water, Elemis
Time: 1 minute 35 seconds.
Number of cotton pads: 4.
Lena: “You have to be at least a British queen to be worthy of Elemis micellar water: “The beautiful flowers of organically grown English roses exclusively for Elemis (Olivia Austin and Mayflower varieties) are handpicked exclusively between June and August when their fragrance is at its most intense.”. Looks like it's not intense enough. The water does not smell of roses, but of something mildly chemical.
The instructions say that Smart Cleanse Micellar Water is suitable for the most sensitive skin and for removing eye makeup. And now the reality: it stings me to tears. Once I removed the mascara so successfully that I had to rinse my eyes with water. There is also a completely mocking dispenser that spits out the product in an uncontrollable stream.
However, foundation and mascara lend themselves easily to it. If I didn’t cry every time after washing my face, there would be a decent option.”
Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Polysorbate 20, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Rosa Damascena Hybrid Flower Water, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Hexylene Glycol, Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acides, Cetrimonium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Glycerin, Rosa Rubiginosa (Rosehip) Seed Oil Polyglyceryl-6 Esters, Sapindus Trifoliatus (Indian Soapnut) Fruit Extract, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Sodium Hydroxide.
Tiina's opinion: “It contains soap tree extract and quite a lot of surfactants, which can cause unpleasant sensations. I would strongly recommend rinsing off this micellar water, despite the presence of amino acids and chamomile extract in the composition.”
Micellar water Kenzoki Amazing Cleansing Water, Kenzo
Time: 1 minute 59 seconds
Number of cotton pads: 4.
Lena: “And again, I don’t like that micellar water pretends to be a softening-moisturizing lotion: it leaves a filmy feeling on the skin. Maybe I'm being picky, but, in my opinion, this only misleads her - does it need to be washed off? Sometimes I automatically apply serum on top because my head is thinking about a response to a message in the messenger, and my unconscious tells me that my skin is ready to “move on.”
There is also this nuance: first it is better to apply cotton pads and wait until the cosmetics begin to dissolve, and only after that wipe your face. If you start rubbing right away, it will take more effort, but it will take no less time. The remaining “micellars” set more quickly. The tenacious eyebrow gel High Definition Brow Colourfix gave in somehow.
The water smells wonderful, like all Kenzoki products, but that’s probably all that’s amazing.”
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Propylene Glycol, Poloxamer 184, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Water, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, PEG-40 Glyceryl Cocoate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Coceth Sulfate, Pafrum ( Fragrance), Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate BHT, Caprylyl Glycol, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Linalool, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract, Disodium Phosphate, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Citric Acid, Copper Gluconate. 098811M
Tiina's opinion: “It should be best suited for oily and problem skin – it contains zinc and benzyl benzoate. Ginger extract helps narrow pores and improve tone, but it may irritate sensitive skin and mucous membranes.”
Micellar water Dermaclear Micro Water, Dr. Jart+
Time: 1 minute 18 seconds.
Number of cotton pads: 3.
Lena: “It doesn’t smell like anything at all. Doesn't sting. Does not leave a film on the face. Removes makeup like an eraser: if there was long-lasting lipstick, there is no long-lasting lipstick. Bottles without a dispenser - just with a hole in the cap. And even this hole is the right size. You can literally get a couple of drops - for a cotton swab. Ay, wonderful water, it’s a pity that it’s running out!”
Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Phenoxyethanol, Decyl Glucoside, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Citrate, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Madecassoside, Rice Ferment Filtrate (Sake), Pearl Powder, Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, Sodium Palmitoyl Proline, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract, Rosa Multiflora Fruit Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Caprylyl Glycol.
Price: 3770 rub. (250 ml) on the TSUM website.
Tiina’s opinion: “I think this one has the best lineup out of all the comparison participants. The most balanced. On the one hand - soft surfactants for cleansing. On the other hand, there are soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients (madecassoside - the active substance of Asian centella, black willow bark extract). There are mild enzymes that smooth out the skin. Amino acids and pearl powder restore the protective barrier.”
Micellar water The Cleansing Micellar Water, La Mer
Time: 1 minute 50 seconds.
Number of cotton pads: 3.
Lena: “If you’ve tried cooling products for tired legs, this is about the same thing, only for the face. The Cleansing Micellar Water is cooling, smells like air after rain and sea water (I see sea salt in the composition). I tested it when I returned home at midnight exhausted. She was ready to growl from fatigue, but suddenly she suddenly switched gears - the smell of the sea, the coolness, the imaginary wind. Almost like a 3D projection of your vacation.
Not sticky, doesn't sting, and easily removes makeup, although it's a little inferior to Dr. Jart+ is in play. It probably gets infuriating when someone praises water, for which they charge as much as for a coat in chain clothing stores - but what can I say, this is the “Bentley” of micellar waters :))
Composition: Declustered Water (-)/Aqua/Eau De-Structuree (-), Declustered Water (+)/Aqua/Eau De-Structuree (+), Propanediol, Polysorbate 20, Bis-Peg-12 Dimethicone, Trehalose, Algae ( Seaweed) Extract, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Medicago Sativa (Alfalfa) Seed Powder, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seedcake, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Meal, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Leaf Oil, Sodium Gluconate, Copper Gluconate , Calcium Gluconate, Magnesium Gluconate, Zinc Gluconate, Tocotheryl Succinate, Niacin, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Powder, Sea Salt/Maris Sal/Sel Marine, Castaena Sativa (Chestnut) Seed Extract, Macrocystis Pyrifera (Kelp) Extract, Laminaria Digitata Extract , Sucrose, Caffeine, Glycerin, Ephylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance (Pafrum), Disodium EDTA-Copper, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Benzoate, Coumarin, Citronellol, Linalool, Limonene, Blue 1(Cl42090) .
Tiina's opinion: “I think this product removes heavy makeup better than anyone else. The composition is rich, but, in my opinion, it contains too many oils. For skin that is not prone to dryness, water may be a little heavy.
In addition, it is now not recommended to use products with sugars for aging skin, so as not to aggravate glycation (a chemical reaction in which glucose “clings” to protein cells, as a result of which the skin loses its elasticity. - Ed.), and in it there is sugar. It turns out to be a paradox: micellar water should be good for dry, thin skin, but it is not recommended for aging skin.”
Lena’s conclusions: “I expect three things from micellar water: that it removes makeup quickly and without friction, does not irritate the mucous membranes of the eyes, and does not leave a filmy feeling on the skin. The most valuable participants correspond to all points: Dr. Jart+ and La Mer. The budget Garnier was inferior to them in speed, but for me this is a less significant complaint than those that I voiced with Kenzo, Elemis and Guerlain. So I began to treat her better :))"
Tiina's conclusions: “My favorites are Garnier, as a product for skin without any special problems, and Dr. Jart+ as a cleanser for demanding and sensitive skin of any age. The rest of the participants are less versatile.”
Tell me, what micellar water do you like? And what price do you think is reasonable for it?
Non-trivial "micellar" from Garnier
A post about one good remedy and the second - not so much.
1) Micellar gel, facial cleanser for all skin types, 200 ml, Garnier Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash
Texture more liquid than is usually the case with washing gels, it reminded me of hydrophilic oil, but precisely in terms of density, there is no oiliness at all.
Smell weakly perceptible, there are no fragrances with flowers and other things that will appeal to people who do not like special effects for the sense of smell.
Consumption below average: according to my calculations, the product will last for four months, plus or minus two weeks, but, of course, it cannot be compared with Korean products.
Efficiency leaves much to be desired.
The product is marketed as being able to “gently cleanse skin and remove makeup from the face, eyes and lips in one swipe.”
Firstly, it was strange for me to remove makeup from my lips with a product that required further rinsing. I did this a couple of times solely “in scientific interests” (for writing a post, of course), and I didn’t like the result: micellar gel does not respond well to both oily textures such as gloss and long-lasting lipsticks that set.
It removes makeup from the eyes normally if it is in small quantities: it is unlikely to cope with eyeliner and smokey eyes. But it doesn’t sting your eyes (unless, of course, you open them completely during use).
Secondly, he does not cope well with his primary responsibilities. Removing makeup from the eyes and lips is not so important to me (I prefer using products that do not require rinsing, but require cotton pads), but the tone from the face should be washed off with a gel called micellar.
I’ve somehow already gotten used to the two-step “Korean-style” evening wash, when the first product removes makeup, and the second does the rest. Let me remind you that micellar gel is designed to do the job of two.
While I had Pig clear dust out foam as the second stage of washing, everything was quite tolerable, but from time to time I saw remnants of the tone on my nose and chin, where I have an abundance of obscenely enlarged pores.
Recently, I finally ran out of foaming foam, and I started using Cetaphil as a second cleanser. Once on the fourth time, I wiped my face with a snow-white towel, which after that ceased to be so: there were stains on it from the tone, which, by the way, was not stable and/or super-dense. This, of course, is not a plus for Cetaphil, who promises to get rid of all types of impurities, but the hero of the post, first of all, must get rid of makeup “in one motion,” and here they cannot cope with the task together! In general, I had to use a three-stage cleansing system and “finish” the skin with cleansing water from Saem, until the famous serum from BIore came to me.
Term of use: from June 02
Price: about 250 rubles
2) Micellar water with makeup removing oils, 400 ml, Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water
I took this micellar water as a replacement for a two-phase product: not all cosmetics lend themselves to “classic” micellar water, so I keep a stronger product “just in case”, but I use it infrequently, since I can’t stand the feeling of oiliness on my eyelids (it’s still tolerable on my lips ).
Texture indeed lighter than conventional two-phase products, but not light enough to remove makeup from the entire face, as the manufacturer advises. I tried it once “for scientific reasons” and decided that I wouldn’t do it again.
Smell present, but unobtrusive. Reminds me of oriental oils.
Consumption, it seems to me, is no different from similar means. Considering the impressive size of the bottle, it will last a long time.
Efficiency I was satisfied. All my long-lasting cosmetics succumbed to the product, however, some items were not washed off the face as quickly as with a regular two-phase product, but I think it’s just a matter of the less oily texture. In any case, this circumstance does not affect consumption: you do not need to take a second cotton pad soaked in the product, you just need to hold the first one on the skin a little longer. I'm ready for this in exchange for the absence of a greasy film on my eyelids.
Term of use: from June 02
Price: about 300 rubles
