Mikropak St

Micropack CT is a suspension for intravenous administration containing barium sulfate, a radiopaque agent for X-ray examinations of the gastrointestinal tract and other organs. The country of origin of this drug is Austria, the manufacturers are Aspro-Nicol from this country. And the international label for this medicine is barium sulfate.

Method of administration and dosage: for oral administration, 5–32 g/day is prescribed 1 hour before fluoroscopy (depending on the dose and form of the drug). In case of irradiation of the kidneys, the dosage is reduced, since the daily dose should not exceed 9 g. The suspension for rectal use after dosage is diluted with water to the consistency of a paste or thick suspension, mixed and injected into the rectum. For an enema, use a 0.1-1% suspension in combination with glycerin at a dose of 18 g per 250 ml of liquid. 3 hours after rectal administration of the suspension, an x-ray examination of the small intestine is performed
