Mitchell Method

Mitchell's method - a description of the technique for conducting tunneling experiments on boundary crystals near their inversion transition. This is a phenomenon in which the energy states of low-symmetry tunnel electrodes are inverted and thus switch places. The word “Method” in the name serves to distinguish it from other methods of the same name. The essence of the method is to increase the invar (590 = 25 mV) of the sample so much that
