Mivacron is a drug from the group of non-depolarizing muscle relaxants. It is used in general anesthesia to facilitate endotracheal tube placement and artificial ventilation.
Manufactured by Glaxo Wellcome UK (UK) in two dosage forms: a solution for intravenous injection, which contains 1 mg of the active substance mivacurium chloride, and a solution for injection with a concentration of 2 mg/ml or 10 mg/ml. Mivacuria is a non-depolarizing relaxant and is used to temporarily paralyze muscles. It interacts with acetylcholine receptors, providing a temporary blocking of the transmission of nerve impulses.
The drug is contraindicated in patients who have hypersensitivity to mivacurium chloride.
