Morphallaxis

Morphallaxis is the process of loss of individuality, complete or partial copying of the character of some individuals by others, similar ones.

Morphallaxis is a social anomaly that involves the ability of people to copy the behavior and worldview of others. This phenomenon negatively affects not only the well-being and health of the individual, but also society as a whole. The term was coined by the French psychoanalyst Jean Lacan. "Morphallexia is a universal human experience in which the complete revelation of identity simultaneously serves as a guarantee of its existence." He combined concepts such as “identification,” “the patient is a chimera,” and “presence.” As a result, the term "morphallaxia" came to mean the whole multitude of distortions of the self and all the ways in which the self manifests itself. According to Jean Lacan, the main source of this process is that it is precisely a completely empty and free form of relations. Another term from the psychoanalyst’s vocabulary: “they,” that is, in fact, humanity. He introduced this term in one of his notes.
