Detergents

Detergents (detergentia) are chemicals that are used to remove dirt from various surfaces. They act by reducing the surface tension of water, which allows it to better wet the contaminated surface and tear off dirt particles.

There are several main types of detergents:

  1. Synthetic detergents are the most common type, including powders, gels and liquids for laundry, dishwashing and cleaning. Usually contain surfactants (surfactants).

  2. Soap is one of the oldest detergents, made by a chemical reaction of fatty acids and alkali. Effective for washing hands and body.

  3. Solvent-based products - use organic solvents such as alcohol and kerosene to remove fats and oils.

  4. Abrasive cleaning products - contain small abrasive particles that help clean off heavy dirt mechanically.

  5. Enzymatic cleaners - use enzymes (enzymes) to break down organic contaminants. Effective against protein stains.

  6. Eco-friendly products - based on natural ingredients, biodegradable.

The choice of a specific detergent depends on the type of surface to be cleaned and the type of contamination. Their correct use allows you to effectively maintain cleanliness in your home, clothes, dishes and other items.
