Muscle, Ciliary (M. Ciliaris, Pna, Bna, Jna)

**Ciliary muscle** - muscles of the orbit, attached at one end to the eyeball, and at the other to the lower wall of the orbit and the zygomatic bone, with the help of which the eyeball moves up and down, performing the function of blinking. The shape of the muscle resembles the Latin letter V. The ciliary muscle has several names - sphincter of the upper eyelid, upper sphincter of the eye. Thin muscle tissue maintains the tone of the eye, protecting it from injury when exposed to external factors.
