Sodium Phosphate (Disubstituted) is a drug belonging to the group of saline laxatives. It is used to treat constipation, especially in cases where increased intra-abdominal pressure during bowel movements is undesirable. The drug is also used to prepare the lower gastrointestinal tract for endoscopic X-ray contrast studies, operations, childbirth, bowel cleansing after operations and X-ray contrast studies with barium sulfate.

Sodium Phosphate (Disubstituted) is produced in Russia by the Reatex company and is available in the form of a substance in various dosages: 100g, 500g, 1g.

The active substance of the drug is Sodium Phosphate. The drug is not recommended for use in case of hypersensitivity to its components. Local irritation may occur during use.

According to the literature, there is no information about special interactions of the drug with other drugs or about a possible overdose.

Restrictions on use include acute hemorrhoids, anal fissures, as well as acute inflammatory and/or ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract.
