Natrium fusidatum, better known as Natrol fusidate, is an antibiotic that is used to treat various skin infections. This drug is designed specifically to destroy bacteria that cause infections and inflammation. It is available in ointment form and can be used externally.



Sodium fusidate, also known as fusidine, belongs to the class of antibiotics and is one of the most powerful antibiotics available to fight infections caused by bacteria of the genus Streptococcus spp.

The main use of sodium fussidate is to treat skin infections such as staphylococcus infections (Staphylococcus aureus) and boils, fungal infections, skin abscesses, insect bites. It is especially useful in treating superficial skin infections that often occur in warm, moist environments.

The antibiotic may come in a variety of forms, including tablets, injection solution, topical ointment, and creams that are applied in a thin layer to the infected area of ​​skin. Sodium Fussidate is effective against systemic infections such as pneumococcal pneumonia.
