Natulan

Natulan is a synthetic antitumor drug that is used to treat various types of cancer and some other diseases. It belongs to a group of synthetic antitumor drugs of various groups and is produced in Germany by Hoffmann-La Roche and in Switzerland by Sigma-Tau United Pharmaceutical Industries/Amarex GmbH.

The main active ingredient of Natulan is procarbate. It is a synthetic imidazole derivative that can have both anticancer and tumor growth-promoting effects. The dosage form of Natulan is 50 mg capsules.

Indications for the use of Natulan are lymphatic non-Hodgkin tumors, brain and primary type tumors, malignant neoplasms of the lungs and melanoma, tumor pathology of primary etiology relating to the bladder and prostate gland. Some studies have shown the effectiveness of Natulan also in the primary treatment of non-infectious inflammatory processes of the allergic type caused by external factors.

Natulan has many contraindications, including hypersensitivity to the active substance, heart disease, chronic infectious diseases, alcoholism and insulinoma.
