Necrosis Radiation Late

Late radiation necrosis (L.L.) is a disease caused by damage to the soft tissues and skeletal system of a person as a result of exposure to ionizing radiation (X-ray or gamma radiation). Etiology of development of N. l. not fully studied.

The reason for the development of N.l. serves

Radiation necrosis is a late metamorphosis that develops after many years (up to 50-60 years) of irradiation, usually in previously irradiated peripheral areas of the skeleton. It is a consequence of the destruction of bone tissue in response to radiation damage. Physiological regeneration of damaged cells is delayed during the life of the irradiated person and occurs under conditions of chronic radiation damage to the body.
