Today my son Petya and I decided to make our own newspaper. I explained to Petya that the newspapers write about various events that happened during the day. We discussed what Petya would like to talk about in his newspaper. What he remembers most is how he walked in the yard and played ball with his friends.
Petya came up with the title “Playing in the yard,” and I helped him write two sentences about it: “Today I played ball in the yard. We had a great time.” Petya drew an illustration of him playing ball with his friends. We hung the newspaper on the door to his room.
This is very useful for Petya - to remember the events of the day and talk about them. In addition, by studying headlines in real newspapers and composing his own, Petya learns letters and improves his reading and writing skills. I'm glad that we came up with this way to spend time together with benefit and pleasure!
