Nose Knows

Continue to explore how your baby's senses, such as smell, function. Place several jars (or margarine boxes) in a row and in each of them put a small amount of some product that has a specific smell. You can use ground coffee, vinegar, sunflower oil, lemon slices, pieces of salami, onions and fresh herbs. Close the jars with lids.

Then blindfold the child and, opening these jars one by one, ask them to identify the product by smell. Each time after answering, remove the blindfold so that your baby can see if he guessed correctly. Once he has tasted each jar, switch places and let him test you.

The child can replace some foods with pieces of fruit, cheese and different types of tea. Such games will help develop your child's sense of smell and teach him to distinguish different smells.
