Nasal Capsule

A Nasal Capsule is a bone graft made from the patient's nasal bone and used to reconstruct the nasal septum after surgery related to diseases and injuries of the nose. It was developed at the end of the 20th century by Israeli surgeons and is one of the most popular methods of treating nasal breathing disorders.

The main reason for the development of nasal pathologies is a change in its shape, usually associated with ossification of the nasal septum. Normally, the bony septum acts as a separator between the two nasal cavities and should not be too rigid. However, often with various diseases, people notice changes in its shape and level of cartilage, which can lead to disruption of the functioning of the nasal cavity. If the nose does not breathe well, the patient is indicated for intervention and removal of identified pathologies.

One of the most effective methods for correcting such changes is nasal remodeling surgery, which requires the use of the patient’s own bone tissue. As a result, the patient's bones heal better than their transplanted donor counterparts because they are already connected to the body and are ready to be accepted into it. For these purposes, a special technology called the “Nasal capsule” is used.

Nasal capsule (CAPSULA NASALIS, INN) is a special bone implant that is used in nasal surgery to correct abnormalities in its shape. It is made from the patient's bone tissue, which is a popular and effective treatment for nasal diseases.

NASAL CAPSULE is intended for reconstruction of the nose and correction of its deformities and disorders caused by various reasons, such as trauma, tumors, deviations caused by nasal growth or congenital defects of the nose. It is also possible to use this product to create a prosthesis that replaces the missing part of the nose.
