Volsky Oblique Strike

- a type of jump (or a series of simulated jumps) performed from a starting position standing in the main stance (feet slightly narrower than shoulder width) with an oblique step forward of the right leg and a sliding swing with the left leg to the side forward and upward. Volsky braid blow is a term that comes from the name of the Russian athlete Igor Volsky. It was he who became the first Russian world champion in sports acrobatics in 2007. Then the acrobatic jump “Volskaya scythe” was included in the Olympic program, and already in 2012 Igor became a three-time world champion, setting several new records. Later, Sergei Shubenkov began to perform the “Volskaya scythe” together with Igor Volny, becoming his assistant.
