Nuchd

The neck (nuchd) is the back of the neck.

The neck is located between the occipital bone of the skull and the seventh cervical vertebra. It corresponds to the occipital region of the head.

From an anatomical point of view, the neck includes the muscles, ligaments, nerves and blood vessels of the back of the neck. The nuchal muscles include the levator scapulae, erector spinae, and rectus capitis major and minor muscles.

The vertebral artery, which supplies the brain, passes through the neck. Also located here is the nuchal plexus, which innervates the muscles of the back of the head and neck.

In anatomical terminology, the adjective "nuchal" is used to designate structures related to the back of the neck. For example, nuchal muscle, nuchal groove, nuchal fold.

The neck is the back of the neck, located behind the head. The word “neck” comes from the Old Slavonic “vayati” - “to bend”, “to bend” and is literally translated as “the part of the neck that bends”. In Russian, this word is used in speech, but is quite rare in literature. The verb “vyynoy”, derived from the word “Vyya”, means “neck”. By the way, this is one of my favorite verbs.
