Ophthalmic electresis disease (electric eczema) is a chronic parokeratosis of the skin of the outer corner of the eye or eyelids. The source that causes the formation of redness, blisters and ulcers of the stratum corneum are superficial thermal lesions. The spread of the disease is often associated with prolonged exposure of the eye skin to ultraviolet rays from the sun and welding.
