Periodontal membrane
Periodontal (pericoronal) tissue, or the mucous membrane of the gums behind the crown of the tooth, is an anatomical structure that includes the front side of the interdental septa and the ligaments that connect the roots to the alveolar plate. In addition to dentistry, the term is often used in orthopedics and traumatology. The lining is also called alveolar, gingival, pericyte and periodontal. What it is, why the shell and its components are needed, we will consider in detail in the article.
