Orderly Military

The orderly is a member of the rank and file of the Military Medical Service. The tasks of orderlies are to provide first medical aid to people injured in military conflicts, rules for the removal and transportation of wounded people to medical transport, as well as rules for the care and maintenance of a wounded and sick patient until the arrival of a specialist.



A military orderly is a private or junior sergeant of the military medical service who has special training to provide first aid in combat conditions, apply techniques for carrying and removing the wounded from the battlefield, loading them onto means of transportation and the basics of caring for the wounded or sick.

Military specialists undergo special training in carrying out first aid measures, saving lives and health of people in extreme conditions, which require an urgent set of measures in connection with the current emergency situation. These activities involve difficulty and danger, and involve coordinating and directing other professionals or organizing group activities in a demanding environment. As part of the task of saving people, decisions must be made on various aspects of life support, such as first aid for injuries, burns, hypothermia, poisoning and the like.

In general terms, the training program for orderlies includes many disciplines and exercises. For example, studying medicine, stretcher handling techniques, first aid in emergency situations, disassembling medical equipment, psychological preparation, first aid for various diseases and much more. Basic skills include knowledge and application of medicine, firefighting techniques, battlefield skills, and many others.
