Sense organ

A sensory organ (organum sensuum, lat.) is a part of the nervous system, the organ of which is a receptor that perceives stimuli and converts them into nerve impulses entering the brain. It is customary to translate O. Ch. into Russian as the organ of smell, but sometimes the organ of vision. By right, the “leader” here should be the ear - the sound analyzer. Therefore, in ancient organ systems, both humans and animals were divided into living and inanimate nature, and the former had an animate soul.
