Osteosclerosis Focal

Osteosclerosis is the irreversible process of bone tissue restructuring with the deposition of calcium salts in it. The diagnosis is made in the case of complete transverse reconstruction of a significant part of the cancellous bone into bone. This may occur on both sides or exclusively on one side. The diameter of the affected area can range from a few millimeters to several centimeters. As a result, it looks like a denser base. The contours of the arches of all teeth are slightly shifted. The gaps between the teeth are also visible. Often, a thin, strong bone appears in the tooth gap, which does not deform the shape of the crown. As the height of the alveolar process decreases, the abrasion of the enamel becomes more pronounced.

In the case of focal chronic osteosclerosis, heterogeneous dense bone tissue develops, most often in the body area
