Decoction

A decoction is the popular name for a decoction, or decoctae, an aqueous or alcoholic extract from a medicinal plant, which is used internally in liquid form. Decoctions can be prepared from the bark, roots, leaves, flowers, seeds or fruits of plants.

To prepare a decoction, you need to take a certain amount of the medicinal plant and add a sufficient amount of water or alcohol to it. Then the resulting mixture is boiled over low heat for a certain time, filtered and boiled again for another 5-10 minutes. After cooling, filter and add the required amount of water. The decoction can be used
