Ovoid Cervical

Cervical ovoid - (ovoidum cervicale; ovo + lat. eidos, form) An ovoid lying at the base of the cervix, shaped like a capsule with a depressed septum along the midline and an apex deviated posteriorly (according to the international nomenclature, it is proposed under the name ovoid cervical dihedroid). In older classifications, the vegetable in the cervix was called Apayden.
