Spring pins

**Spring fingers** - protrusions of the skin of the fingers in the distal direction to the distal interphalangeal fold. Spring fingers are characteristic of Dupuytren's contracture and are found in the initial forms of palmar fibromatosis. In some individuals they are a normal anatomical feature. However, in most cases, pain associated with them and a pronounced increase in the length of the fingers are signs of incipient stenosis.
