Parakeratosis Focal

**Parakeratosis** (parakeratosis; Greek para about + keratin keratinos keratin + -itis) is a violation of keratinization of the superficial layers of the epidermis, in which a thin translucent stratum corneum is formed. With FP, multiple islands of a loose stratum corneum are found in the cortical layer, the thickness of which is determined by the person’s age and heredity. Sometimes this phenomenon is observed in children and is physiological in nature.
