Parasystole

Parasystole is a type of extrasystole when, before the next normal contraction of the heart, another, premature contraction occurs, often caused by the functioning of an arrhythmogenic focus in one of the atria (most often the right one). If all heart contractions proceed absolutely normally and the intervals between them do not exceed the limits of permissible physiological values in all parameters, this is sinus rhythm. Extrasystolar is a pre-ecmysmic rhythm, that is, before one of the heart contractions, an additional non-physiological one occurs. In this case, there are also no deviations from the norm, although its duration is shorter than usual.
