Perineoplasty (Perineoplasty)

Perineoplasty is a surgical procedure that is performed to enlarge the vaginal opening. It may be necessary if the vaginal opening is too narrow, which can lead to pain and difficulty during sexual intercourse.

One of the perineoplasty methods is Fenton's operation, which involves cutting the hymen and part of the perineum. This operation may also be useful if the patient has a break in the hymen, which can lead to pain and bleeding during sexual intercourse.

Before performing perineoplasty, the patient must undergo an examination and consultation with a surgeon. During the consultation, the doctor will determine how necessary the operation is and which method will be most suitable for a particular case.

Perineoplasty can be performed as a standalone procedure or in combination with other surgical interventions, for example, labiaplasty (surgery to change the size and shape of the labia).

After perineoplasty, the patient is advised to take certain precautions, such as avoiding sexual intercourse and physical activity for several weeks after surgery. However, recovery from perineoplasty is usually quick and the patient can return to normal life within a few weeks.

Perineoplasty is an effective method of correcting a narrow vaginal opening, which can lead to pain and difficulty during sexual intercourse. However, before performing this operation, it is necessary to undergo an examination and consultation with a surgeon to determine how necessary it is and which method will be most suitable.

**Perineoplasty** (perineoplasty, perineopexy) is a surgical operation to correct the labia minora and perineum, carried out to increase the entrance to the vagina. This is an invasive intervention aimed at eliminating specific anatomical problems that cannot be solved by conservative methods.

At its core, perineoplasty is one of the ways to perform correction of the labia minora. Minor aesthetic defects are usually localized on the posterior or anterior walls of the genital canal between the coccygeal fascia and the bladder.

Among the indications for which perineoplasty is performed are:

Perineoplasty (Perineoplasty) is a surgical operation to reconstruct the external genitalia, especially common in older women, its purpose is to increase the entrance to the vagina, relieve prolapse and improve the quality of life.

The surgical technique involves dissection of the hymen and subsequent plastic surgery of the vaginal edges. However, until the advent of effective analgesic therapy, this procedure was considered the most painful and traumatic of all open colpotomy operations, performed only under local anesthesia. Exposure of the head of the clitoris, detachment of its folded body during manipulations outside the vaginal vaults contribute to the deterioration of blood permeability in the clitoral venous plexus, and this in turn causes clitoral ischemia. The consequences of this are swelling of the groin area and pelvic tissue, displacement of the uterus, cystocele, and genital prolapse along the ventral surface.

Common complications of perineoscopy are infection of the peritoneum, bleeding from the vagina, and retraction adhesions of the labia minora. The incision and expansion of the vestibule can be performed in two ways. In the first technique, a small incision is made between the layers of the vulva, which allows the edge of the hymen to be excised along with the covering layer of skin. The incision according to the second method is made along the middle of the posterior lip of the vulva, two silk ligatures are applied along one of the longitudinal sides of the wound, and with traction the edges of the vagina are sutured along the transverse side, using separate sutures on the neck of the anterior lip and in the lower part of the wound. Separate sutures are placed on either side of the anterior lip cervix to connect the edges of the vulva. After the vaginal wound is sutured.

Postoperative care:

-remove the hygroscopic coating applied to the postoperative field the next day without manual pressure; -
